🧐What is the most unexpected venue you've discovered for a meeting or a team-building activity?

Yesterday, I attended the Health Day 2026 at the Luxembourg Science Center and throughout the morning I had the chance to experience first-hand some health and research projects and initiatives happening in #Luxembourg.

For example, I stepped into a role-playing detective game designed by Chirsir parviel to raise awareness on the sources and impact of pollution and discovered #ICP4Rare from the Luxembourg Institute of Health, an inspiring initiative dedicated to accelerating innovation to better care for people living with rare diseases.

But my biggest takeaway was discovering the Science Center itself.
Together with Dany Fernandes, I had the opportunity to explore the centre beyond the event and learn more about its activities, future projects, and all the experiences it offers. And I even played kicker with a robot! 🤖

As someone working in the meetings and events industry, I immediately started seeing the venue through another lens.
Did you know that you can organise corporate events and team-building activities there?

You can put your senses to the test in the Kitchen Lab, be amazed by a spectacular electricity show, travel through the universe or explore the human body in the planetarium, and enjoy countless interactive scientific experiences that spark curiosity and conversation.
It is one of those places where learning, fun, and innovation come together in a truly memorable way.

How fortunate we are in #Luxembourg to have such a vibrant ecosystem of researchers, innovators, educators, and organisations working together to make science accessible and engaging for everyone.

A big thank you to the Luxembourg Science Center and the partners involved in making Health Day 2026 such an inspiring experience for everyone.

After a busy first half of the year filled with events, partnerships, site visits, stories and exciting developments across Luxembourg's #BusinessEvents ecosystem, it's time for a short #SummerBreak!
 
In August, our social media channels will be taking a pause. But while our posts are going on holidays, the #LuxembourgConventionBureau isn't. Our team remains available throughout the summer and will be happy to assist with any enquiries.
 
For now, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far this year, our partners and the wider business events community.

📍 Knowledge Creates Innovation. Conferences Amplify It.
Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Prof. Jens Kreisel, Rector of the Universität Luxemburg, and Geraldine Knudson, Director of Communication and Marketing. I felt privileged to gain insights into the University's strategy and development, and to discuss future collaboration opportunities between the University and the Luxembourg Convention Bureau (LCB).
The University's campuses offer outstanding venues for international business events, while its faculties and interdisciplinary centres are home to renowned professors and researchers working on some of today's most important challenges in digital transformation, health and medicine, and sustainable development. At the LCB, we are committed to supporting academics and researchers in bringing international conferences to Luxembourg and creating lasting impact and legacy.
What impressed me most about Campus BELVAL was its unique transformation from an industrial site into a vibrant hub of innovation, education, research and entrepreneurship. The architecture is remarkable, but even more inspiring is the close connection between academia, research excellence and business innovation.
I look forward to strengthening our collaboration with the University of Luxembourg and with everyone who is already organising conferences and congresses in LuXembourg - Let's Make It Happen, or considering doing so in the future.
Walking through Campus Belval left me truly inspired. It is a powerful example of how a destination can transform its heritage into a platform for innovation, collaboration and international exchange.
